I’m Janaya, a screenwriter born, raised, and happily still living in Brooklyn, New York.

Five months after graduating from film school, I was hired as a Writer’s Production Assistant for the TV Show Evil on their final season.

Since then, I have been working on productions in different crew positions, and working on my writing.

I am currently in the certification stage to become an Intimacy Coordinator (SAG-AFTRA) for Film and TV!

I Want A Letter (Short Drama) - After a tragedy, Melisende takes on the care of her best friend's Grandmother with dementia, but soon finds out that the friendship wasn't as strong as she thought.

Cut The Foolery (Comedy TV Pilot) - When a hypochondriac finds out she’s dying, she contemplates telling her parents who she hasn’t spoken to in years. Meanwhile, her friends scramble to console her and host a living wake.

Kai’s Journey (Drama Feature) - A grieving alcoholic gets forced into a program for bereaved parents, and has to take care of a child to confront her trauma.

Euphoria (Spec Script S2 E1.5) - A spec script based on the TV Show Euphoria. After the New Years Eve party, Rue tries to commit to sobriety again as she gets closer to Elliot. Lexi has doubts about Fez.

Demons (Student Short Psychological Script and Film) - A distressed and grief-stricken young woman begs her friends for their forgiveness over something she had done a year prior.
